St Ives Home Care - Hands

Older lives matter. So too do their stories about what they have contributed to our society – often through the work of their hands. While those hands may need help, older folk can teach and inspire us through telling us of lives well lived. Our client’s aged care workers are privileged to hear the life stories that we don’t. So they wanted a way to share this unique aspect of their jobs. In their own homes, we filmed several elderly people, capturing many remarkable tales to produce a series of short videos that celebrate life stories in personal ways. Posted on Facebook, YouTube and the client’s website, the videos have been warmly received, with comments echoing that older lives matter.
